Hi! Are you planning on updating this to Godot 4? Really interested in buying if so!

hi! Yes, I 've been working in an update.

 Expect it soon.

Thanks! Are you going to put any proc. gen. in it?

The first version to be released will be just and update to Godot 4. But I 've been thinking in a lot of new features. Procedurally generated levels is something cool to add. If you have any additional requests, please let me know!

Since most roguelikes do have random levels, putting proc. gen. would be super helpful for anyone using this to start their TDS roguelike projects

very disappointed as i cant purchase this but its very nice

why you can't purchase it?

no paypal, sorry man. keep up the amazing work though!

Thanks man!

Anyway, write me at rnb.games.studio@gmail.com and we can sort it out

Do you plan on adding an option to pay with card? It would be very useful. Also looking forward on the porting to Godot 4!

Hi! I am sorry, but since I live in Argentina the only payment method valid is paypal. I will add some features to the Godot 4 version such as a rolling movement for the player and possibly more weapons or weapon switching, but it will take me a while.

Oh, don't worry then. If I can provide some recommendation maybe on top of the weapon switching a feature to pickup and discard weapons would be cool too. Then again, thanks for this template because resources to implement top down shooters in GODOT where the aiming is independent from the player is rare!

Thanks for your feedback! I totally agree, a pickup/discard weapon would be a nice feature. I'll try to add those.

Is this free to use in a commercial game?

of course! You can use this template in commercial and non commercial projects.

Nice, thank you!

Would you offer support for Godot 4? Does it change much?

I was thinking in porting this template to Godot 4. The main change would be in the AI movement of the enemies because the way the path navigation system works in Godot4 is different.

Anyway, in my opinion,  if you aim to make 2D games, Godot 3.5 is fine. The big improvement of Godot 4 is the way the engine works in 3D games

Finally :) and fantastic! Could you please add a roll or dodge animation  (to avoid bullets?

stay tuned for a future update!

Could also release the art from your space game? Aliens, player, environment and fauna? Looking forward to buying it as well. Please do the roll up date. PS _ The space game had better art than this version :)

I bought the sprites you mentioned here on itch. Just look for the authors: Elthen and Moose Stache. They are great artists and have a lot of awesome sprites for your games.
